Chennai Food and Truck Festival 2018
The day I had planned for a long time finally arrived yesterday.
And it was absolutely awesome!!
Food is best enjoyed with friends, and I went with my Foodie Gang - Mehak, Krishnapriya and Aakansha. The Chennai sun was a little merciful on us. It was a bright and cheery. The place was a delight for any food lover.
We had reached early, and we decided to start our food journey with.....any guesses???
With desserts <3<3<3 People like us with sweet tooth always starts backwards :))
The first round was Banoffe and Nutella waffles. They were great, melting in the mouth kind. Nutella waffles were really amazing. Nutella never lets you down. We were eyeing so many stalls, with our mouths watering and stomachs growling. Maybe it was just me, but whatever!!

We planned to purchase food coupons for the rest of the stalls, with our meal course all planned in our minds. The next stop was the all time fave Chaat Stall. We gorged on the Bhelpuri Sev Chaat (Kolkata style) - the best Chennai can provide. This was accompanied by my Aloo must have - Spring Potatoes on a skewer with mayo and chilli sauce. We had a little sparring match to see who gets the most of it. Next we headed for Veg Pasta, creamy white sauce. Although it was not at par, but it was really filling. After that we went excitedly to the gola shop, selling golas in myriad of colours. I quenched my thirst with my go-to flavour Kaala Khatta with jaljeera. And it was heavenly, although we raced against the sun to have our chuski before it melts away. We failed but it was still the best drink to cheer on. We took a short break. We sat in the shade talking, munching, taking unlimited number of photos & selfies, singing songs in our melodious voice.

Gaining our energy back, we continued. For the Grand Finale, we had to finish with a delicious dessert. So it was a handsome guy from the crepe and pancakes stall who caught our eyes. :P
Don't worry! I am talking about the yum food which he was serving. The Strawberry and Nutella Crepes were to die for. We had three portions and that says a lot.

So with our bellies full and few more pictures later, we decided to call it a day.And what an amazing day it was!!! The taste is still there in my mouth. Just kidding people :P
Goodbye until next time!
And here is a Food for Thought :))
